Arch’s New Map Display Offers AED Owners a lot More Than Directions

-By Micah Bongberg Google+ | @annuvia

SAN FRANCISCO, CA – Internationally mapping AED units with real-time location-specific feedback is changing the way AED program managers track their AED unit readiness programs. Large national AED program managers, ultimately responsible for overseeing their firm’s Automated External Defibrillator (AED) unit’s readiness checks, can now use one, user-friendly screen to visually see the status of all of their equipment, internationally, by using the Arch system from Annuvia.

Arch, Annuvia’s new AED Medical Direction and Oversight program, allows AED owners of all sizes to track their AED units through a user-friendly dashboard. AEDs are color-coded and literally placed on a geo-coded map, with satellite imagery, so that AED owners can quickly check the status of their program.

“This solution is particularly compelling for AED program managers responsible for overseeing the mandatory 30-day readiness checks of their large, national firm,” states Micah Bongberg, President & CEO of Annuvia, a national CPR/AED training organization headquartered in San Francisco, CA. “Once logged in, all AEDs are clearly displayed on a high-resolution map, providing the AED manager with a quick snapshot of their program.”

If AED units are stable and current with regard to mandatory readiness checks, the icon is a soft green. IF the AED needs attention, such as the replacement of AED electrode pads or batteries, based on the ongoing record-keeping provided by Arch, the AED with be a yellow color. And, if the AED has a component that has already expired or a readiness check that has lapsed, the icon will be red, drawing attention to the problem so that the user can quickly address the issue.

By simply clicking on the icon, no matter the color, the AED program manager can narrow in on their search and quickly figure out the error or reason of the color change.

“Its actually quite beautiful to see a large account’s, international look on the Arch dashboard,” states Bongberg. “We hope that their view is full of green icons but, if not, the AED program manager can easily click on the yellow or red icon to narrow in on the problem.”

With confusing AED laws, Annuvia’s new Arch platform completes the full circle of Annuvia’s services. Prior to Arch, Annuvia provided national CPR/AED training and AED sales for each of the top AED manufacturers, and now, Annuvia able to offer complete Medical Direction and Oversight services.

“Its incredibly rewarding (when viewing large accounts’ records) to know that at each location, the client has life-saving equipment.”
